Perth Trip - 30th July 2007 (Day 4)

30th July 2007
Ian and Aeris had planned for a whole lot of activities pack for today but too bad the weather is not in our favour. Therefore, we planned for some indoor activities and see if the weather changed for the better, then we will resume our plan.

Our first stop is Perth Mint. We took the free city shuttle known as CAT (Central Area Transit) to explore the city in this wet weather, this is one good way to travel around too. There are 3 lines for the CAT bus, the Blue CAT, the Red CAT and the Yellow CAT. It is pretty much like a mini-MRT system as we can transfer from one line to the other, but only at the bus stop that is.

The entrance fare to Perth Mint is AUD$13 for student concession, Singapore student card is acceptable too, man I was lucky. I gotten my NTU student card with me too, didn't know that it will come in handy.

We tour around the mint and witness the gold pouring process which is really interesting. A pity photography is not allowed in the mint.

Anyway, since the weather looks like turning for the better, we decided to head down to Perth Zoo, but before that, the three of us decided to settle for lunch at Taka's Kitchen. I ordered a Miso Katsu Don which is really good, man I got to try this again when I am back.

After lunch, we took the CAT service to Barrack St Jetty to get a ferry to go over to South Perth where the zoo is located. While on the ferry, the weather turn from good to terrible, geez, talk about changable weather.

We stayed in South Perth for a while and went to a coffee house for some coffee as the weather is still quite bad. In the end, we decided that no point going to the zoo at this point as all the animals will be in the shelter too, so we took the ferry back to Perth City and head back to City Waters.

We took a short break in the apartment room before heading out to Hall St again as Ian wanted to get some comics. After that, we walked up to Northbridge, which was pretty close to the CBD and met up with Theo and Serene.and headed into the Hog's Breath for dinner.

After dinner, we head back to our apartment. Since this is the last night in Perth, I need to do some night shooting, and so I grab my gears and head out to hereby to shoot. Aeris and Ian followed along and we tried many funny things, hope that Aeris will upload those photos soon.

After the night shooting, it is still very early. So the three of us played Munchkin while drinking some wine which they bought at Ianchester (near the Margaret River Chocolate Factory) and that really knock me out.

Like I said, this is the last night together with the two of them, really going to miss you both. Alrightly, the last day in Perth is coming...

Ian doing the YMCA thingy. Hahaha...
