Ok, maybe I should do a slight backdating. Wanted to post this yesterday but since I was in the mood to do the revamp for my blog so I didn't really try to blog it down and I didn't expect the revamp to take up most of the time today. Now that it is done, I have the time to clear the backlog. There is another reason why I didn't try to blog yesterday as you will find out as you read on.
9th August 2007 (National Day)
The long awaited holiday was finally here. I was supposed to meet a friend of mine for a lunch appointment today but at around 11am, she message me that she won't be able to meet me for some reasons. I was a bit disappointed as I have push off all my afternoon plan for this appointment.
Luckily, I remembered that Sykestang got a studio shoot this afternoon at 3pm and I message him if there is any more slot left. He told me that there are slots left and I was more than happy. The model for today's shoot is HuiRong and the theme for today is gothic.
The stuio is located at Geylang. As I am not too sure of the location, I took a cab down. The studio is located on the 4th level inside one of those shophouses along Geylang street. I reached the studio at around 2:20pm and I help Jordan, Tang and Mark with the setup of the studio lighting. After a while, HuiRong arrived, she told us that an Indian followed her up which is really a frightening experience for her. I really blame myself for this. I should have gone downstairs to wait for her but I was too caught up in the setting up. Luckily that she is alright.
The make-up artist proceed to do make-up for HuiRong and the shoot started at around 4pm. I didn't shoot much today as I didn't get much inspiration. Maybe because I am not used to the studio setting or maybe this shoot is like a last minute thing, so there is no idea what I want to capture. However, I managed to get few shots that I like very much. Of course the main credit must go to HuiRong as she really know how to pose and express the feel for the gothic-theme. (I am still processing the photos, so this is the other reason why I didn't want to blog yesterday as the photos are not ready to be shown yet.)
After the shoot, I invited HuiRong for dinner at China Square where we ate Ramen at Beppu Menkan. So we chatted over dinner and I also passed her a Koala Bear and chocolate that I got for her from Australia. And she promised me not she will not eat the chocolate that I gave her until she is fully recovered.
Come to think of it, it has been close to one year since I known HuiRong. I can still remember doing my first Studio Lighting shoot with her during my PSS course under Jane Chua. Time really flies. We tried recalling those occasion when I did the shoot of her and we counted 6 occasions. Maybe I will list them down since I am at it.
1st - PSS Studio Lighting course (Jane Chua)
2nd - Shoot organised by Yawoo at Cafe Domus
3rd - Bikini Shoot organised by Kian Teck
4th - Tao Zhui organised by Sykestang
5th - PSS Studio Lighting course (Mr Goh Kim Hui). I happened to be there and Mr Goh asked me to join in the shoot
6th - Gothic Theme shoot organised by Sykestang (This shoot)
(Hope that I didn't missed any one)
This is the first time I treat her to dinner ever since knowing her. I did tried to ask her out for dinner but most of the time, due to our tight schedule, the plan was put off. Finally, today I got the chance to make up for it. Really glad that she accepted my dinner invitation.
As she is not really feeling that well, I send her back to home (not to the doorstep though) after dinner. I do hope that she will recover soon and all that I wanted for her is to see her happy. Get well soon.
I might post one or two pictures when I am done with the processing, but no promise. Alrighty, time for bed, I still got an IR Outing to organise later. Cheerz.
