Perth Trip - 29th July 2007 (Day 3)

29th July 2007
Time really flies when you enjoy it, it is already mid of my 5 days short trip to Perth. Today, for a change, Ian, Aeris and I woke up slightly later than usual hence we are unable to join Theo and Serene to go for their church services at Fremantle.

Since we are late already, we took our time to make breakfast. Really thanks to Aeris for making a hearty breakfast of toasted bread, bacon and egg.

After breakfast, the three of us decided to walk down to the train station at Perth City to take the train down to Fremantle. I think this is good in the sense that we can experience how to take public transport in Perth City to other cities nearby. I bought out 2 camera bodies today, my D200 and D70i. I took quite a lot of pictures today despite the gloomy weather. I was luckily enough to get a few IR shots took.

Fremantle is a nice city and they have those flea market like those found on Bugis Street in Singapore. I bought quite a lot of souvenirs for my friends there. For myself, I gotten a UV torchlight there are I hope to us it for UV photography if I get the chance.

Anyway, in the later part of the morning, we managed to meet with Theo and we had a fish and chip lunch at Kailis' Fish Market Cafe. Man, the fish and chips taste really good and the chicken salt just really make the fries tasty.

After lunch, Theo and Serene went for a Powerboat ride while the three of us just walk around Fremantle to explore more and stop for coffee before taking a train back to Perth City.

Ian suggested going to Taka's Kitchen for dinner and according to the address, it is located at 397 Murray Street. But when we got there, it looked like it was closed and so the three of us headed back towards Barrack St where we remembered there was another resturant that we passed by in the morning by the name of "Taka". We are not sure whether it was the same franchise but we were led to believe so. Unfortunately, that particular Taka closed at 1700 on Sundays hence we head over to another Asia resturant called Poppo for dinner.

After dinner, we head back to City Waters where we opened up the Brown Brothers wine that Ian and Aeris brought and had a bavarian chocolate for dessert. What a day. Time to head for bed now.

Looking forward to Day 4 in Perth.
