Perth Trip - 27th July 2007 (Day 1)

Alrightly, time for me to log down all the happenings for my very first self overseas tour. How should I begin... Maybe let me start from the early morning then.

27th July 2007
Feeling rather excited about my trip, I woke up at around 5:00am this morning and cook Myojo mee for my breakfast. Did a last minute check and I head out of my house at around 6:00am.

One thing that I can't believe is that it took me quite a while to flag a cab down as it was so early. After 10 minutes of waiting, I finally got a cab.

After getting to the airport, I waited for Serene (Theo's girlfriend) so that we can check-in together. It was my first time meeting her. Anyway, we check-in together and lucky enough, we gotten the seats together but too bad it is not a window seat and Serene was whining about it throughout the flight and reminded me to get the window seat for our return trip.

After over 5 hours of flight, we arrived in Perth. After the usual check-out delay and hassle, we are out of the airport and we met up with Theo. The three of us wanted to wait for Ian and Aeris but then we realise that Theo's car might not have enough space for all of our luggages. Hence we decided to check-in to the apartment first and come back later to fetch Ian and Aeris.

As we head out of the Perth International Airport, we were greeted with rain. What a way to start our journey. And so we drove in this wet weather to Perth City.

After checking-in to the apartment and leaving the luggages, we left for Perth Domestic Airport to fetch Ian and Aeris. It was the first time after more than 10 months since I last saw Ian, felt really excited about it.

After a while, Ian and Aeris arrived and the five of us start to head back to the apatment at City Water and put our luggage there before heading out for dinner. Ian, Aeris and I were sharing a room on ground level while Theo and Serene gotten another room on the second level.

At dinner time, Theo drove us to Northbridge and we had Nando for dinner. It is not bad for the first meal in Perth (I didn't bring my cam so I never took photos of it) and Theo bought a cake to post-birthday celebration for me and Serene.

After that, I guess all of us had a tired day so Theo and Serene went back to their room to retire while Ian, Aeris and I chatted until quite late in the night before knocking out. So much for the first day in Perth, I only hope that the weather will change for the better.

Looking forward to the next day.

(PS : Hey bro, thanks for the card and gifts. I got to read through the card after I touched down in Singapore. Hehe...)
