The Leap Years (2008)

Finally find the time to do a backdate log. :)

After a long wait and anticipation, I finally got "The Leap Years" DVD. I believe the DVD was release recently and I have been wanting to get it since the movie was released in 29th Feb this year.

I wanted to catch this movie but I was a bit busy during that period of time and no one wants to catch this movie with me. I was looking forward to the DVD release since the show ended. Very fortunately, I passed by The Gramophone at City Hall and saw the DVD and I just bought it.

I watched the show and find it quite nice and with many interesting quotes. Such as, "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have love before." Those who knows me well will know that I like to watch romantic and love movies too. Was thinking of watching the movies again and type out all the quotes to share with all. Maybe next time then. One more thing, most of the songs in this movie are from Corrinne May's albums which I simply loved it. Got to go now. Cheerz.

Death Note 2 : The Last Name Movie

Just finished watching Death Note 2 the movie with Adrian at Plaza Singapura. Finally, can watch the concluding episode of this interesting movie which showcase the battle of wits between 2 geniuses, Light and L. Very good movie but some points that are debatable.

From what I know, the movie is very different from the comics (not sure about the anime) but I guess the director got no choice as I think the comics got quite a few books and I don't think he can condense so many books of comics into just 2 movies.

Overall, it is a really good movie as I must say that I admire the plots and strategies that each character used to outsmart the other opponent. And of course with cute actress such as Toda Erika as Misa Amane , it just add on to the viewership. :)

Death Note, The Movie

Went to watch this show at VivoCity with Adrian, Ah Zheng, Ah Meng and Guolin & girlfriend last night. All I can say is, ONE GOOD AND SOLID SHOW.

I love the plot even though I heard that it is different from the comics or anime. I love the way how the 2 main characters 'Light' and 'L' battle it out in their wits and strategies. This is the kind of show I really enjoy, some sort of like Kindaichi (金田一) detective story. I can't wait for part 2 to be release. In the meantime, I think I will check out the comics and anime. :p

For those interested, do check out the show. Just a note, please stay throughout till the end of the show as it will show some spoilers for Part 2. Cheerz.

(PS : I will try to load the Youtube anime for Death Note on my blog. Hopefully soon.)
