Sick I was, but still present to you : My Sunrise and IR Photos

New Year is such as happy and fun time, no need to work and can go around visiting relatives and friends. As for me, I did most of my visiting on the first day of the Lunar New Year (29th Jan 2006, Sunday). Actually, I wasn't feeling well by the end of that day and feel sick that night and still didn't get any better by the second day (30th Jan 2006). So I visit the clinic near my house which by right shouldn't charge me a single cent because this clinic was under my company's medical scheme, but because it was still Chinese New Year, the clinic charges me SGD$35 for consultation.

Anyway, I taken the medication and had an early night yesterday and thought of sleeping throughout till this morning until 8am or 9am, but instead, I woke up at 5am. I think the medicine works as I feel better already. Since I am up already at such an early hour, I thought of going to Changi Beach to take some Sunrise photos. It has always been one of those to do things that always slip by because of procrastination. So I get up, wash up and get my equipment and ready to left, but then a great dilemma strike me… Should I or should I not bring my tripod? After my deliberation and consideration, I decide not to bring it because I only thought of exploring to see if Changi will be a great place to shoot photographs, if it is good, I will go back again with all the appropriate gears some other time.

Anyway, I miss a bus but still managed to reach Changi Beach Park before sunrise, just to share a couple that I took this morning.





After that, I went home to process my photos. Seeing that the weather is such a sport today, I decide to grab my tripod down to nearby to test out some IR Photography. Anyway, the picture didn't turn up to my expectation as the sky is quite cloudy or maybe my White Balance (WB) is wrong. Oh well, I will try harder next time.

Happy Chinese New Year to All

It has been a few days since I last posted something. I was quite busy trying to settle all the loose ends at work before the long holidays start which is literally today. Anyway, just like to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year. 新年快乐, 万事如意, 恭喜恭喜.

Study = Fail? Another Lighter side of Maths

I must admit I never thought of updating my blog regularly as I don't have time to do my photo shoot yet. I do have some pictures in my harddisk but they are just not consistent enough for me to explain the concept of aperture and shutter speed because I never bring my tripod out for shooting during those time.

Alright, with that aside, my colleague Jonathan send me another funny mathematics joke as shown in the picture

This is another witty maths solution that really amuse me. I was really laugh so hard on my chair in my office when I saw it. Just can't stop laughing. I don't know what to say but it seems that these people are really smart in finding fun and humor in Maths.

Find x? A Lighter Note of the day.

Ok, this is my first official post since I started blogging yesterday. Yesterday was very busy as I (complete nut to blogging) was trying out the different function such as creating a post, publishing, editing profile, this and that.

Anyway, I was sorting out all my pictures in my Documents and Settings folder as I wanted to upload some pictures for my profile when I stumble across this picture and I simply laughed about it.




Apparently, this is a mathematics question to find the length of the Hypotenuse, x using Pythagoras theorem which is :
4 square + 3 square = x square
However, the student simply help the teacher to locate the x on the triangle. Hahaha. If we ever use that in our uni or poly papers, I guess the lecturers will laugh until they fall off their chair.

Ok, so much for my first post. Hope to post some photos and to discuss about Photography Techniques next time.

My First Weblog posting

Alright, I must admit that I never thought of starting a weblog at all. But now, I am starting one to share some of my photos that I took during my free time and also to share my thoughts at times.

I guess I will not update this Blog so often due to the nature of my work and also I wouldn't expect this to be a very interesting blog but this is more like sharing of Photography Techniques and knowledge or to rant about something at times.

Before I start, I must admit that I know nuts about blogging, so I guess it will be just a plain site for me until I learn more about this.
