Just came back from a concert at the Esplanade, the concert is by Deb Fung from Sydney, Australia titled "Whoever You Are" which is the same title as her new released album. Not sure if Ian or Theo know who this singer is. Hmm...
Anyway, it is a very good concert and the band is great too. I am thankful that Huiqing is able to attend the concert with me as I will be so bored if I have to attend it alone.
I can't remember the sequence of the songs that Deb sing, but it is mostly from her new album. Some of the songs are quite catchy and I like the tune. Some of the songs include :
1. Fool for You
2. Do So Much
3. I Believe in You
4. I Understand You Understand
5. Whoever You Are
6. Lately
7. Surrender
8. Home
And one of the song from her previous ablum during the encore which I forgot the title.
Some how as I compare to the album and the concert, the album lack the impact as compare from the concert. Well, that is the main difference between attending a concert live and listening to an album.
Anyway, I do look forward to her future concerts (and of course Corrinne May's concerts too). Going to get my shower and get some good rest as I still got an IR Outing to attend to later. Cheerz and good night.

My PSS Grading 3
Got more time to update the rest of my happening these days. I received my PSS Grading for my Wedding Photography and Fashion Photogaphy course through the mail some time back but I have yet to go down to the PSS Clubhouse to collect my prints and certificates. But here are the grades as per indicated by the letter from PSS.
Wedding Photography Course Submission
Grade : Pass with Merit
For the Wedding Photography course, I got to submit 36 pieces of 4R prints, I see that it might be better that I convert those 36 pieces of the submitted photos into a video and upload it onto my blog instead of uploading the individual shots, and so here it is.
To Thomas and Amelia, (if you are reading this) I originally wanted to choose the background music for the video clip to be "From This Moment" by Shania Twain but I only got 36 shots (and I try to add in a few of those title and ending pages but still cannot fulfil the duration of the song), so I chose "Valentine" by Sarah Brightman & Jim Brickman instead. But rest assured I will do a better one for you at a later date.
Fashion Photography Submission
#1.

#2.

#3.

#4.

#5.

#6.

Grade : Pass with Distinction
I am very happy with the grade for my Fashion Photography. Must really thank my instructor Mr Goh Kim Hui for being so patient and helpful throughout the course, not forgeting the models too who had done a great job.
Anyway, I see if I can still take some courses during this coming semester break to upgrade my photography skill further. Cheerz.

Looking Back the Last 24hrs
My exams are over already, so I got more time to look back and reflect on things. It is quite scary looking back what happened in the last 24hrs.
You see, I had finished my first paper which is Quality Engineering at around 12:30pm yesterday afternoon. After settling everything, I had my lunch and reached back home at around 2:30pm. I really don't have the mood and spirit to start studying for today's Logistics paper, so I tried to relax a bit and catch a short nap at around 4pm. I woke up at around 5pm and I start studying for my Logistics subject.
Initially, the first few chapters are quite simple and I managed to recap and recollect them quite fast as I have done my revision around one week back before starting on my Quality Engineering revision. But after a while, it seems that my memory loss or unattentiveness start to set in and I can hardly concentrate at around 6pm onwards. To make things worse, I am only half way through my first lecturer's notes (I got 3 lecturers for my Logistics course) and I left quite a lot from the second and third lecturers.
I tried pushing myself but I just can't absorb anymore. That is around 9pm when I started on the pile of notes from my second lecturer. I really panic during that instant. At that moment in time, my mental nearly breakdown as I got really worried about not been able to complete my revision and I don't seem to be able to recall what I had revised one week back. I can't recall all the formulaes that I have spend hours and hours during last week to memorize. I was totally dishearten and depress for that moment. I got no one to turn to and talk to and staying alone at home really can drive a person crazy. Now, I can finally understand about how stress that can break a man's mental health.
At around 12am, I finally give up studying and tried to get a good rest and wake up fresh in the morning to do the reminding revision, this is actually a very risky move as I might not have the time to complete the revision even though the paper start at 1:30pm today. I got to travel around 1 and a half hours to get to NTU and so I set my alarm at 5am this morning so that I can wake up and continue studying.
At around 4am, I woke up and start studying my notes while still on bed. After taking a rest, my brain starts to function again and I managed to catch up with the revision for all the chapters and complete it at 10am this morning. I was very relieved that I can complete revisiting this subject on time.
Thankfully, I am glad that I am still sober and able to think straight till now, but at that moment of despair, desperation and depression, I am scare that my mental health cannot take it anymore...
I really hope that I won't have to go through this again...

Finally... It's Over (For Now Until next Semester)
I really feel like shouting out loud now, IT IS OVER, FINALLY...
After days and weeks of preparation for a back-to-back exams (yes, I had one paper yesterday and one today), it is finally over. It has been like hell for the last few days, I have stacks and stacks of notes to study and read through and got so little time to digest and understand the whole lot.
Today is my final paper for this semester, L6002 Quantitative Methods for Logistics Analysis. The paper is slightly tricky but I managed to finish the whole paper. Well, I must admit that there are a few questions that I am not very confident in but nothing can beat this upbeat feeling that it is finally over.
I feel alive again after days of self confinement at home and bury myself with books and notes. Can breathe and sleep well again, well, until next semester at least.
Alrighty, time to resume back my normal lifestyle. More photography that is... Cheerz.

One Down and One to Go (Tomorrow that is)
Completed my first paper for this semester which is M6141 Quality Engineering. I won't say I am very pleased with my performance because I FORGOT TO ANSWER A SUBQUESTION. ARGH.... It is only 2 marks but hey, every marks count.
Sigh... Age is really catching up, or I have lost my knack... Got to be more careful tomorrow. Time to diffuse and discharge before a new lot of equations and formulaes to remember.
Wish me luck my friends.

Finally... Finished... Eating One Chuck of Notes... (*Panting*)
Ok, Ok,I didn't really eat any notes physically but I have just finished revising my Quality Engineering. It consists of 2 stacks of notes, 1 stack is quite thin while the other one which is thick and full of words, that is a real killer.
I have been pushing myself to finish those notes by yesterday but it is really too dry and so delay until now. In fact, I have very much plan for it too so that I still got tonight and tomorrow to do some past year papers.
Ok, think I will take my whole afternoon off to digest off the notes as my brain now feels like exploding. Sigh... Am I getting old? Memories seems to be failing on me. In the past, I got memory like an elephant but now it is like suffering from memory loss. Maybe too much things on my mind to distract me. Hopefully after this semester, it is a new start for me.

One reason that I stay at home to STUDY
Hopefully Ian, Aeris and Theo can catch this Youtube video of a footage capture outside NTU Library 1. This is one good reason to stay home and study. Hahaha...

Can't Sleep... Sigh...
I can't believe it. It is 1:29am now and I can't seems to get to bed. I woke up quite early this morning to study and caught around 1/2 an hour of nap in the afternoon but it seems that I can't sleep now.
Maybe too many things on my mind, exams stress I guess. I really need to sleep now as I still got to do my revision later today.
Sigh... Maybe I need someone to talk to. What is wrong with me.
I don't have the mood to study now and I can't sleep, I don't know what I want to do...

Forever For You - Daryl Hall and John Oates
Happen to hear this song on Class 95 on Thursday afternoon while doing my revision and grew to love the tune and lyrics. Managed to locate it so I decided to change the current song on my blog to this song instead. Enjoy.
Forever For You - Daryl Hall and John Oates
Does anyone know what love can cost
It'll take you so high then leave you lost
Is it a mystery
that runs too deep
for such a simple heart
Can anyone stop the hands of time
and put back the loving in your eyes
Though it's his name I hear when you are sleeping
I'll pretend it's mine
(chorus)
When they ask me how long I'm gonna love you
If the road to my heart will always stay true
I'll say forever
I'll say forever for you
When they ask will I stand right there beside you
and they don't see you and me the way that I do
I'll say forever
I'll say forever for you
A rose is a rose by any name
but a thorn will still cut you just the same
I'm losing your love I know
so sad the feeling
I can tell somebody's stealing
Stealing away your heart
When they ask me how long I'm gonna love you
If the road to my heart will always stay true
I'll say forever
I'll say forever for you
When they ask will I stand right there beside you
and they don't see you and me the way that I do
I'll say forever
I'll say forever for you
I don't know if I should tell you
how you live in my heart
There's no room for another
If you leave me now
my heart would not recover
When they ask me how long I'm gonna love you
If the road to my heart will always stay true
I'll say forever
I'll say forever for you
When they ask will I stand right there beside you

My New Addition, Not a lens, just an ML-3
Alright, a quick update before I head for shower and studies. Was down as TK Foto earlier to pick up an accessories that I waited for a very long time. The Nikon ML-3, Modulite Remote Control Set which is a wireless remote trigger for my D200. I tested the auto trigger function which is very fun as it can trigger the camera when someone or something cut across the transmitter and receiver path. Anyway, I will find more time after my exams to play with it. For now, back to books. Bye for now.

One last post (Maybe...) before I break for my exams
With my exams date in sight which is roughly 2 weeks away, I think I will take a short break from blogging. But hey, who knows, maybe I will be so bored that I will rant once a while on my blog. Hahaha...
Maybe just a quick update before I head off to work. I spent the whole Saturday and Sunday trying to catch up on my Quality Engineering. I used to study QA during my Poly days but don't mean to be disrespectful but the current lecturer teaching this subject make me unlearn what I have learnt. That is why I need to spend the next few days to get my basic back. Geez...
Alrightly, wish me luck for my exams.
Oh, one thing before signing off. I have submitted my 10 photos for the Racing Action Competition to PSS already on Saturday. I was the first to submit I believe as I need to take time off to focus on my exams. Anyway, I will post the pictures after my exams, they ain't really that great but I did what I can already. Wish me luck for that competition too.
Ok, time to sign off. I will be back blogging after the 24th April as that is the day I have my last paper. Time to go. Bye.

A Slice Of Life - Self Pity
Got this email article from Karen which I find very interesting and will like to share with my readers.
Self Pity
When we run into problems in life, one of the main determinants of whether we can overcome them is whether we can rise above self-pity, whether we can stop feeling sorry for ourselves and continue working towards our goals with what we still have.
It could be in the aftermath of a failed relationship, after losing all your capital in a botched business venture, the inability to hold down a job, after being diagnosed with an illness or after a crippling mishap.
During these times, you might feel you have the right to feel sorry for yourself. Remember that famous song lyric "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to"? Well, even if you do have the right to feel sorry for yourself, it doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.
The thing about self-pity is that it makes you believe that you are the victim, and so can't help being and feeling abused. It encourages you to remain in a miserable state, "just so everyone is clear about who's hurting here". It places blame on other people and circumstances, so you can conveniently sit around and do nothing.
Most of linger in self-pity because it can get so comfortable? while in its throes, you imagine that the one who hurt you is feeling bad about your condition, that by showing just how miserable you've become is a kind of punishment to that person. You feel that by remaining incapacitated, you're demonstrating just how helpless you were to prevent this from happening and just how helpless you still are to make things better. It exaggerates the role of the aggravator and discharges you from the responsibility to improve your own life. Besides, when you throw a pity party, chances are there'll be plenty of well-meaning friends and relatives who will come around and cry along with you and nod in agreement when you tell them how hard your life is. In short, self-pity is extremely addictive.
So how can you wrest yourself from its powerful arms? Well, first, get your friends and relatives to stop feeling sorry for you. Tell them it's really not helping. Avoid people who, despite this, still feel they should be your brooding buddies. Then, break your chain of self-pitying thoughts by shifting your focus to something else. Immerse yourself in new experiences! Read inspiring literature, look for fresh perspectives. And resolutely look towards tomorrow. It can be hard to see, but there is a better future for you. Yesterday is gone, but tomorrow holds endless possibilities.

Shootout At Singapore Turf Club
There is a Racing Action Photo Competition organised by Singapore Turf Club and PSS recently and the closing is 19 April. Matthew register for this competition and asked me to join him too. Actually, I thought of hanging up my gears for the month of April as my exams are coming, but seeing that Matthew is so enthusiastic about it, I register for it also. I managed to get my registration done up on Friday as we need to register in order to get an entry pass to get into the Turf Club.
Today is a Race day and so Matthew arrange with me to pick me up this morning and we head down to Kranji where the Turf Club is. We took quite a few shots but I find that it is still not good enough.
Anyway, here are a few shots to share with all. I might be going down again one more time to get a few more shots before submitting. Can't find much inspiration today, maybe the gloomy weather sort of turn me off.
Alrightly, enough talk already, here are a few of my shots.
Feeling Lucky?
