A Bowl of Soup

Adrian actually wanted me to meet him today after work but I am in no condition to meet anyone as my nose is really running very badly and I feel terrible, so I just wanted to go straight home to have a rest. Not knowing why, I have the craving for a piping hot bowl of soup while I was on my way home. So I decided to stop by CompassPoint to do some groceries shopping.

Some how, in the midst of shopping, I got that feeling that I had 2 years back while I was in US, Illinois, in the little laid-back town called Gurnee. I can recall how Fanjie and I have to do groceries shopping while we were living in George Court in Pembrook Club. I just grab a basket and start to pick up some apples, canned food and soup, noodles and so on. I must admit that I do have some urge to buy some alcohol when I passed by the liquor and beer section but I faster walk pass it as I remembered that I still have a 6 pack at home. Talk about back then in US, me and Fanjie have to do groceries shopping every week and how I will cook dinner and packed for next day lunch. I really enjoyed the life and time there. Not understanding why, I have that this kind of feeling today, so much that I wanted to buy a rice cooker and a cooking pan so that I can cook at home.

However, I don’t really have the appetite today as I am ill but I do wish for a hot bowl of soup maybe that will cure my cold. So I buy all my groceries (I did quite a bit of shopping today) and went back home to prepare my bowl of England Calm Chowder Soup. Nothing beats a hot bowl of soup in this cold and wet weather. Hopefully the soup can cure my cold soon.
