Being Forced to Accept Whatever Is Given

Remember the true story of the 3 employees who did their job only to find out that the management won't be paying a single cent and the managers tried to resolve this issue by trying to fork out a small amount of money from their pocket to close it.

Today, I heard the update about this issue what is quite a shock to me which left me angry and dumbfolded.

During a meeting, the one of the managers suggested to one of the employees to settle this payment issue as soon as possible but the stand of the employees were not to accept a single cent from the managers' own pockets. The manager offered a payment of $600 plus one day of leave as compensation. That is 1/2 of the full amount payable (which is at $1200).

The employees felt that is it not right to settle it this way and insisted that it should be the management/company that owes them the payment, not the managers and refuse to accept the deal.

Today, the managers decided to close this chapter once and for all. Two of the managers insisted that the payment to be make from their pockets and forced the employees to accept a payment of $500 plus 3 days of leave. The reason for the reduced amount in payment is that the job was performed during office hours hence this amount of money will act as a compensation also for the managers to feel less guilty about the mistake on their wrongdoings for not clarifying the administrative work properly before engaging the employees to undertake the task. They literally push the money to the employees and told that it is settled then and they just walked off.

The employees were being forced to accept whatever is given. Really a screw-up situation. I guess the employees can't do anything except to suck thumb over this. I think this is really ... (lost of words, only vulgarity in my head)
