Finally get myself to do a backdate for the last few days when I was serving my ICT (In-Camp Training). Not sure how to begin, maybe I should start from the morning of the first day when I was about to report for reservist.
20th Feb 2008
Woke up at 5:30am this morning to get myself prepare for my reservist. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, it was the first time I am reporting for my reservist since I ORD-ed 7 years back. I gotten my SBO, helmet, Full Pack ready and set off for camp. Left my house around 6:30am and waited for a cab. I was quite pissed with the taxi service but I will not talk much in this post. I will follow up another time.
Anyway, managed to got onto a cab at 7:00am sharp and reached my camp at around 7:35am (reporting time was 7:30am btw), but luckily I was still considered on time. Did my in-process and start looking for the medical platoon (my vocation is a combat medic). The problem is that I was posted out of my previous active unit and so I won't know who are the combat medics in this new unit but I waited for the officer-in-charge to arrange for me. After a while, I managed to met up with the medics from my reservist unit and I followed them up to the bunk and left my things there. My reservist unit is a stay-in unit which mean I don't get to go home until this in-camp is over.
Nothing much for the first day of my ICT as there is a Change Of Command parade in the evening and that is pretty much for the first day.

Woke up at 5:45am this morning. Didn't sleep well maybe because it is the first night in a strange place. Today, the medicial platoon has to report to SMTI (SAF Medicine Training Institute) for BCS training. However, due to miscommunication, we were unable to do the BCS. Instead, we were sent to refresh our CPR procedure and do IV. Now, I am CPR certified for the next 2 years.
During the IV session, I think that it has been a long time last since I got poke by a needle and I don't remembered that it is so painful. Geez...
Anyway, that is pretty much the whole day training and we went back to our reservist camp and another day is over.
22nd Feb 2008
We did some BCS training in our reservist camp by a regular senior medic and we have to pack up early as today we get to book out for the weekend. I was really happy that there is no training over the weekend. Can take some time to rest myself. Since my camp is like out-of-nowhere. I have to take a bus to the nearest MRT and I waited long for a MRT as it is the off-work rush hour and I am carrying my SBO, helmet and Full pack with me back home as I won't be needing them for the next few days of training.
This pretty much sum up what I did during the 3 days while I was in-camp. Anyway, I got to book in by 10:00pm tonight as the ICT resume on Monday morning. Can't wait for it to be over soon.
