My first week of work

After completing my first week of work in my new environment in NTU, maybe it is good to do a quick update for all my friends.

I am slowly picking myself up since I quitted my job around one month back. So far, I have been doing quite a bit of reading up and internet searching for my project. The overall objective/goal of my project is quite clear, which is to develop a smart suit, but I think I will just leave out the details for now.

My daily routine is as follows. Every morning, I have to wake up at around 5:45am to 6:00am to wash up and get ready to leave my house before 6:30am. Then, I will take Bus 161 to get to Woodlands MRT and take a train to Boon Lay. From there, I will take Bus 179 to go into NTU. As compared to my last job, the journey to my workplace is rather long and I don't have a cubicle to myself in my lab. Just a normal computer table that's all. However, my partner who is working on the same project is quite a nice guy and my professors are good to me too. These are the plus points that still motivate me to work.

Besides that, I think that the stress level here is not as high as compared to back then and the culture here is much different, so I am trying to tune myself to blend in the culture here.

Overall, I like my current job, just that the journey to work is rather long. Maybe I can consider saving up and get a car. :P
